Wow, motherhood is oh so beautiful, yet oh so hard. As soon as that beautiful baby is placed in your arms, you are forever changed at your core. You want to love them, protect them, and fight for them. Every season after that comes a rollercoaster of trials and growth. You then search for guidance and direction from a mentor, friend, mother, and most importantly the Word of God on how to raise these beautiful babies. I have found great comfort in God’s promises for us through scripture and bible reading plans. Here are seven great devotions for motherhood on YouVersion.

Now that we dove into what YouVersion Bible App and bible plan is, let’s dive into the seven great devotions for motherhood on YouVersion.
Overwhelmed By My Blessings- Encouragement for Moms.
Overwhelmed by my blessings was the first bible plan that I had embarked on as a mother. In a place of trying to juggle it all, work, being a mama, wife, and getting dinner on the table, I was overwhelmed. In constant prayer and in need of encouragement, I needed to discover more of God’s promises for me, especially in the midst of what seemed like too much for me to handle at the time. I searched for a bible plan that would be a supplement with my daily reading.
Then, I stumbled across this bible plan and it was an answer to prayer. It was exactly what I needed. I felt seen and I felt heard. The author walked through her everyday struggles of being overwhelmed and turned them into blessings! The best part? There are 12 parts to this devotion! So you can just keep going with this plan when you need it! I highly recommend this devotion as it helped me to shift the mindset to find blessings in the every day.
Enjoying Motherhood-10 Day Plan
Enjoying Motherhood really is just a great devotion to read for any season of kids. This bible plan brings up real life instances where kids are struggling today to be who they were called to be by God.
It discusses raising kids in today’s culture and highlights how, now more than ever, we need to be in the Word and embrace the role of the Mama that God has called us to be. Thank you God, that we have Jesus for this and scripture to help point us on how to achieve this.
Enjoying Motherhood Part Two.
Enjoying Motherhood Part Two is just an additional bible plan to the first bible plan. Still as great and applicable. I enjoyed both encouraging bible plans and recommend them as a daily read!
Motherhood: The Freedom Of Not Being Enough.
This Bible plan is truly wonderful! It strips away the misconception that we, as mothers, are enough or sufficient on our own and highlights that only Christ is sufficient! What a comforting realization — understanding that we don’t have to attain perfection, fulfill every role, or be self-sufficient. This enables us to place our complete trust in Christ in every facet of our lives including the important role of being a mama.
Risen Motherhood.
Risen Motherhood Bible Plan illustrates how the gospel offers hope and assistance for the daily challenges you face as a mama. It is an encouragement again that we are not enough that it points to the true source that is enough!
7 Day No More Yelling Moms Devotional
This one was a real challenge. I never imagined that I would be the mom who struggles to keep her voice down with her little ones, but here I am. After talking to other parents, mentors, and friends, I’ve come to realize that many of us face this struggle occasionally. In this bible plan, I discovered both encouragement and the challenge to control my tongue and refrain from yelling. I found scripture to meditate on to help me in the times of needing to take a deep breath.
Praying God’s Word Over Your Kids
Finally, my last great devotion to recommend is Praying God’s Word Over Your Kids. This bible plan digs deeper and moves past just prayer for health and well-being. It’s a great devotion that will help encourage your prayer journey while growing your prayer life. This plan also has more than 1 part. You can continue with your prayer challenge by following this bible plan.
Final Thought.
Finding these seven great devotions for motherhood on YouVersion, is as simple as typing the title in the search bar under finding bible plans. Once you click on the bible plan that looks intriguing to you, the bible plan will provide a little paragraph on what the plan is about. That way you can really decide if that devotion is something you would like to start.
All of these devotions can be shared and done with a fellow mama! As I said previously, I can remember a period when I had recently become a mother, juggling work, being a present mama, striving to be a great wife, all while managing household responsibilities, and feeling overwhelmed. I reached out to a sweet friend going through a similar phase and suggested we embark on the “Overwhelmed By My Blessings” Bible plan together.
With great enthusiasm, she agreed! As we progressed through our daily Bible plan, we exchanged texts and discussed the insights we gained. That support was exactly what I needed during that period. It offered me a fresh perspective and reaffirmed the significance of truth in my life each day. Reflecting on that time, I’m incredibly grateful to have shared it with my friend and to have felt the Holy Spirit guiding me towards finding solace in His word and encouragement.
I hope this is encouragement to you, Mama, who is either embarking on motherhood for the first time or who is a seasoned! There are so many great bible plans that are rich with scripture in the YouVersion app that will bring you strength.
